From the recording Dangerous Man
“Dangerous Man” was recorded with Wholehearted Productions at their studio in Orlando. This is the first track Amanda has recorded with a full arrangement, and it’s the first time she has played mandolin on one of her songs. The sound is intended to be reminiscent of Sun Studio’s early rockabilly days, with a flavor of folk pop. It’s a blend of two of Amanda’s favorites, early Elvis Presley and Fleetwood Mac.
Amanda is excited to add her words and visions to the classic narrative of what happens when the bad boy meets the good girl next door.
Lyrics
One look from you and I'm wondering if this is love or slow death,
And I said I wouldn't get caught up, but I'm forgetting what I said,
I was calm, I was cool, till you kissed me in your tender way,
So if there's room in your heart, try to be with me today.
Chorus:
You're a dangerous man to love,
Never thought I'd like that smokey smell on your clothes,
You're a dangerous man to love,
But I just can't give you up.
You locked your eyes in mine and sang me a song of sweetness,
And I vowed I wouldn't be taken in, but I melt in your caress,
I could sink, I could swim, I could run while I can, but I'm curious to see where this ends,
Even though you're a dangerous man.
(Chorus)
You're a dangerous man,
But be gentle with my heart,
You dangerous man,
Let this spark be the start.
I love you dangerous man,
I love you dangerous man.
